Most people view the German Shepherd breed as intimidating, but a well trained
German Shepherd can be the most loving family dog. There are many reasons
why a person would want to own a German Shepherd. There loyalty, love and
eagerness to please are only a few. In fact, German Shepherds are a working
breed and become bored when they don't have a task in life. Because they are
so intelligent they are often used as guard dog, Police K-9, military, search and
rescue and guide dogs.

I am a retired police K-9 handler from Central Florida. I have attended various schools
for K-9 training. Such as basic patrol/ Obedience/ Narcotics Detection/ Tracking /
Area Searches / Handler Protection/Building Search / Decoy Agitator. My years as a
K-9 handler were the most exciting. I have since retired, and moved my family back to
the mountains in Western North Carolina. We love the German Shepherd Breed and
have chosen to breed and train them for obedience and protection. That is why I
have chosen to share my years of experience and start Law German Shepherds.
